The Elephantine Calendar

Prior to 1822, there were temples of Thutmose III and Amenhotep III on the island of Elephantine near Aswan in Upper Egypt, both of which were relatively intact, but they were destroyed in that year by the Turkish government. Records show that a rare calendar, known as the Elephantine Calendar, dating to the reign of Tuthmosis III, was found in fragments at that time, together with a Papyrus dating to the 13th Dynasty and known as the Elephantine Papyrus. Quite why these the ruins were destroyed is not known, and it is unclear where these artifacts are currently located, though it is known that the adepts from the Temple of Ra worked with the Turkish government during the destruction of the site.
One of the Temple adepts present at the destruction of the temple of Tuthmosis III, a young journeyman called Dorian Grey is believed to be a member also of the forbidden Ancient Order of Cthonian Time. Over the years since 1822, he has shown little sign of ageing.

History & Secret Knowledge: The calendar and papyrus that were lost are appendices to the Second Book of Set, concerned with the preservation of a corpse after death. Sorcerers familiar with such magicks believe that the same lore could be used to preserve living bodies when combined with the Temple of Ra's knowledge of temporal lore.
